vegan chocolate

On the 11th Day there was even more chocolate

December 11, 2010 by Lindsay Ingalls 58 Comments

Antidote Chocolate sent me a sample of 3 of their 5 chocolate bars for review and giveaway.  Antidote Chocolate is a 50/50 blend of raw and roasted cocoa and 84% dark chocolate.

Things I love about this Chocolate and Company:

  • They encourage ecological practices
  • They believe in paying a fair wage to farmers
  • They use high quality ORGANIC ingredients
  • They chocolate is vegan and gluten free
  • There is no refined sugar in the chocolate bars as well as no artificial flavoring.

The flavors that I tried were in order of favorite to least:

  1. Red Hibiscus-Berry- this one had a nice blend of fruit and floral
  2. Ginger-Goldenberry- I loved the blend of spicy ginger with tart-sweet goldenberry
  3. Lavender-Sea salt.- I really didn’t like this one at all- the Lavender was too overpowering for me.

Sjaak’s is well known for their vegan chocolates and have a number of different fun flavors on their site. For this review/giveaway I was sent the Winter Wonderland Gift Box.

I love that the box is the perfect gift; you don’t even have to wrap it just but a nice bow on and it’s ready to go under the tree.   In the Winter Wonderland Gift Box you will find a bunch of individually wrapped little dark chocolate snowmen with a yummy crunch peanut butter center.  Needless to say chocolate doesn’t last long in our house because the husband eats it all and these with the chocolate peanut butter goodness went faster than you could say Happy Holidays! How long do you think these would last in your house? For your own chance to find out see below on how to enter to win these cute little snowmen.
