My 2016 Reading List

January 26, 2016 by Lindsay Ingalls 8 Comments

reading list 2016

This past year I had planned on reading 12 books and I started off the year strong and read two books within the first month and then I kind of fell off the reading train unless you count the millions of children’s books that I read every day. To be honest I’m writing this post and I’m trying really hard to recall what books I read last year and all I can think of is Grandma Gatewood’s Walk (more about this book here), Eleanor & Park, Gone Girl, The Starch Solution and The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up.

I attempted to read Overwhelmed: Work, Love, and Play When No One Has the Time but apparently I had no time to read it but it is making my list once again this year because it wasn’t that I didn’t like it but I just got caught up in Eleanor & Park instead. I also attempted to read The Book Thief but I just couldn’t get into it. I think this is actually the book that through me off track because I just kept trying to get into it but it didn’t happen.

Okay so that was my brief review of last year and as you can see I failed terribly at reading 12 books. This year my goal is to read 12 books plus these parenting/educational books (you can find that list over on Naturally Family).
