1. KIND Bars– Can you believe I am just trying these for the first time this week? They aren’t as chewy as I had expected but still tasty.
2.Chili Sweet Potato Fries Salad– so easy! I started with Alexia sweet potato fries as the base, topped that with veggie chili, then topped that with shredded cabbage, thinly sliced avocado, tahini dressing (tahini, lemon juice, chickpea miso, nutritional yeast and water to thin) and thinly sliced scallions. A ranch dressing would also be good.
3. Wild Mushrooms in this case with soba noodles and asparagus. We found a stand at the market that sells yummy wild mushrooms and I am addicted.
4. Lemon Raspberry Mineral Water– I bought this yesterday when I really wanted coffee and now I may have a new habit. Oh why do we live so close to Whole Foods.
5. Nuttzo– I received this as a sample a few weeks ago and it went as fast. My husband is addicted to it and wants me to buy him a life time supply for his birthday.

Christmas Where Are You?

Since we have spent the last month up to our ears with making moving plans and packing we haven’t really been thinking much about Christmas.  Today that all changed, we finally are out of moving mode (temporarily anyways) and it’s time to focus on spending the holidays with our family. The movers came and cleaned out our place and now I am sitting at my parents house in the middle of nowhere Vermont in the middle of a snowstorm with the fire roaring and a (lame) Christmas movie on TV.

The best part was a soon as we arrived at my parents house there was a nice big box from Allie and Blue Diamond Almonds Team.

I can’t wait to share all these goodies with my family!

Boy was I surprised to find this extra treat in my box….

Sites & Eats

I was hoping to be back sooner to write about our new adventure but things are crazy busy around here.  We have movers coming Friday or Saturday so we are trying to finish packing up the condo plus Neil is still working and I have recipes to finish up writing for the month and oh yeah there is that annual holiday coming up.  Here are a few photos of what’s been going on around here lately (no photos of our mess of a home though):

What’s Been Cooking

I have been a little absent lately because I have been crazy busy at home with something I can’t tell you about yet but will next week. It honestly makes it really hard to blog because I want to share this big thing with you but I can’t for at least another week.  I know the suspense is just killing you right?

Well since I can’t share my news I will share some happenings over here at our house that aren’t so top secret.

I don’t know how much I have told you about one of my work-at-home jobs but I have been writing recipes for 360 Cookware for almost a year now.  360 Cookware  is manufactured in West Bend, Wisconsin by Americraft Cookware and is ecofriendly! I write about four recipes per month for 360 Cookware and today between naps, feedings and playing I was able to finalize and photograph one!

In other news I am dying to get out of this house.  I don’t think I have left the house since um Sunday because E has a cold that I need her to recover from before she gets her blood drawn next week.  Boo to being stuck inside but at least I have my kindle, coffee, Netflix and a cute baby to cuddle with.
