Cyrilla is a New York-based graphic designer and when was diagnosed with lupus, she went home to Indonesia to recover, she discovered her sister’s work with the local cashews and created a beautiful partnership!
I love the fact that these nuts are packaged in unique handmade Indonesian packaging made of natural pandanus, wood bark, and banana bark- materials handmade by local communities in Java and Bali. VERY COOL!
Instead of using toxic, wasteful packaging, they use “handmade Indonesian packaging made of natural pandanus, wood bark, and banana bark- materials handmade by local communities in Java and Bali.” Pretty cool!
This company has a wonderful story: “In 2003 Cyrilla was diagnosed with Lupus. Taken care of by family and unable to work fulltime, she aided her sister, Caecilia, in developing a business that provides much needed support to the local farmers who produce high grade cashew nuts.”
Hi Jennifer,
Congratulations! I will send the package out tomorrow. Please enjoy and have a great happy holiday.

I learned that cashews are farmed in Java. I’ve loved cashews for years but I never thought about where they come from.

The cashew nuts are purchased directly from the farmers and are cured with a unique and special family recipe to create delicious, freshly roasted snacks, using only natural ingredients and no preservatives.
I like that the nuts are purchased directly from the farmers instead of going to a big company and that the nuts are prepared with natural ingredients and have no preservatives.
