Ohhhh Eleanor and Park is on my next up list! I’ve heard great things. I also set a New Year’s Resolution to try to read at least a book a month and I am currently reading “This Is The Story of a Happy Marriage” which is a collection of essays by Ann Patchett. Loving it so far! I’m looking forward to hearing about your book club recommendations! I’m always in the market for a new read.
Good reading goal for the year! I’m mostly reading cookbooks right now but I do have the Best Food Writing of 2014 that I just started and am really loving it so far. The essays are incredible, and are great inspiration for my own food writing! π
I am looking forward to expanding my horizons and read books that I normally would not pick up ( like the motivational genre ) Gone Girl is on my list to read too. I have not seen the movie so the book will still be a treat.
It’s actually one of those cases where I would say see Gone Girl first and then read it. The movie is good but I think the book took away from my liking the movie.
Eleanor and Park is a really sweet and easy read – I say go for it! I’ve been wanting to read Overwhelmed for a long time, but you’ve convinced me π I’m reserving it now from the library!
It’s like this book was meant just for me! OK, not JUST for me, I hear it all the time, and I get it. We are all so busy! I will have to read this one, I need all the tips I can get.
I love book clubs! Lately I’ve been reading a lot of teen litβit’s a perfect fit for my attention span and the amount of brain space I have left at the end of a day wrangling a toddler. π
What a great goal to read 12 books this year and it sounds you are on the best way to achieve it too π ~ This book does sound quite interesting and on topic for me as well. Thank you! ~ Bea
