Let’s start of this post by making it clear that I am no fashion blogger. Honestly my sense of personal style has been limited to black t-shirts and jeans for approximately the last 5 years. That isn’t to say that I don’t appreciate fashion or feel like I don’t have any sort of eye for it but rather I just don’t know what my personal style is or how to dress my body.
After becoming a mom I feel like my perception of style has changed – I mean what do moms where anyways? I don’t even know. I don’t even know what people my age are wearing (I’m 31… almost 32 for reference) or does it even matter?
Also, what does a personal style really look like? How does one find it? And most of all how does one dress a postpartum body that they just don’t love?
So here I am on a journey to find my personal style and build a closet with pieces that help me feel confident. A journey I thought I would share it with you and I’d love your help. Where do you go to for style inspiration? What bloggers fashion inspire you?

I’m no fashionista either – my only attempt is getting a Stitch Fix box every quarter to get a few unique pieces!

I can’t say I’m particularly fashion savvy, but my “style” has evolved primarily from my love of colors and focus on buying things that I feel good in! I usually turn to Pinterest for accessorizing ideas.

I’m also not a fashionista and don’t have much of a personal style. I’m relishing the more laid back look out here in PDX (I lived in NYC for a while). One approach I’ve heard, though, is to have a collection of basics that you feel amazing in, and change it up with accessories. I tend to shop at places like Eddie Bauer and Title 9. I also loved shopping at Ann Taylor because they had clothes that fit pretty well. I will add – getting a good, supportive bra is a game changer. I shop over at The Pencil Test in NE. They specialize in cup sizes of D and larger and have great customer service. Their Natori undies are also awesome. Good luck and enjoy the process!

I still live in black t-shirts and jeans! And summer dresses during the summer – they’re so easy to just thrown on and go. I go with whatever is comfortable and fits, which is hard enough for me to find! š

I will always live in black tees and jeans – they are essential!
